The owner of Ragtime Tattoo asked us to develop a brand identity for his new business venture, business coaching for tattoo artists. Tattooing may be a beautiful art, but it's a shit business. It's a kickass lifestyle until the system kicks your ass. The truth about it as a "real job" hits hard, and often too late.

Enter Jackpot Tattoo Business Coaching. The goal was to create a company that is a community and resource for navigating the harsh realities of the tattoo industry. Jackpot helps you take the bullshit out of the business of tattooing by telling you the truth that no one else will.

As such, our approach was to create an identity that was less about “hitting the jackpot” and more about learning the truth and “hacking the system.” Because in life, there are two kinds of people: those who blindly follow the system, and those who open their eyes, see the truth, and make the system work for them.

Our work included the development of the brand strategy and creative identity, including primary and secondary logos, colors, fonts, graphic elements, and social media assets.
